I know that it may be hard for many of you to understand just how, when, why miracles occur. For me, it has never been questioned. I can attest to the power of their advocacy to God on my behalf. I have the stories to prove it. Now, I would, at their behest, like to share with you their messages of love, hope and peace. I hope that you find as much comfort, love and guidance from their words of wisdom as I do. In God’s light and love, Merry

“Liberate your mind from sadness… even though people may not understand your mission, follow your heart. Find strength in the voice of God. He is the true guidance to bring make all things possible. “ Joan of Arc (1412 -1431)
Joan of Arc is in many ways my hero. She suffered humiliation and was burned at the stake because of the voices and visions she received from God. She helped her beloved France become liberated from England as she led her troops into battle. She never waivered from her mission and for her love of God even though she suffered persecuted from her countrymen and from the Church. In the end, she was victorious; she followed the calling of her heart.
Today's Meditation:
"I ask that the Divine's guidance work through me so that I may be a lamp unto others. Knowing that God will provide all, I let go of fear or whatever it is that prevents me from taking my work out into the world. Even though I may face ridicule or other's may not understand my merit, I move forward with my vision. I ask that you, Joan of Arc, use your mighty sword to remove the fear and pain of rejection from my heart and move me into action."
About the Saint…
Joan of Arc was an simple peasant girl, who at the age of 12, received voices from St. Michael, St. Catherine and St. Margaret. They instructed her to drive the English out of France. She was responsible for leading the French army to many important victories and ultimately, for bringing Charles VII to the throne. She was captured by the Burgundians, sold to the English, tried by a tribunal and burned at the stake at the age of 19. Twenty-five years later, she was recognized as a martyr and was beatified in 1909. She was canonized in 1920 as a saint in the Catholic Church. She is a national heroine of France.
