Much like the "Fool" I tell my journey through the cards. The stories are sometimes fascinating and other times mundane. In any case, I hope you enjoy them.
During the show, I take a look at the energy for the upcoming month. Since I am giving our listeners a general reading, I highly suggest that you give yourself a personal reading each month. As with any reading, remember to take into consideration that if you don't like what you see, you always have to power to change the course of your destiny!
Monthly N-R-G Spread
1. Choose an area: Relationship, Career/Life Path, Finances or Health/Well Being.
2. Ask a question. Example: "What is coming up for me in the month of _________?"
3. Hold the cards over your Heart Chakra and say a quick prayer for guidance. If you work with a Tarot/Spiritual Guide, ask them to step into your energy now.
4. Go into a NEUTRAL space. That means, one where you are NOT attached to a certain answer or outcome.
5. Shuffle the cards in the manner that is best for you.
6. Lay the cards out using the diagram below.
7. Tap into your intuition and read your cards from right-left.
8. Trust the information that your initially receive. Even if you don't know how to read oracle cards, you can still get the correct information by trusting your intuition.
9. Write it down and look back at it in a week. You might surprise yourself!
10. If you not into self-help, we'd also be happy to read for you.
I'd love to hear about your experiences with this spread. Leave your comments and feedback below!
Yesterday I was stuck in a story. It started to unravel just before going into the library for my night shift. I realize that I don't want to go and that I've not wanted to go in for a very long time. And although I repeatedly tell the story, nothing actually happens. I take no action to correct my complacency. Fatigued, I realized that I need to be uber conscious of my words and actions today.
I woke up on the wrong side of the bed again and I knew that it was time to go into discovery mode. For starters it's been a long week: I've not been sleeping well for the past 3 nights, I've been pulling a lot of all nighters, and I've started a new exercise program. It's no wonder I'm feeling out of sorts. As I sit in meditation, the phrase, "I'm in prison" comes up. As I process my thoughts using the Work, it is in the last turn-around statement that I uncovered my truth. "I'm in prison." "They put me in prison." "I put myself in prison." Ouch.
Truth be told, I've made a choice. I realize that our pains are our gains from wanting to hold on to our story. I realize that I am receiving something by sticking to it. No one is making me stay there except my own fear of growing. I ask myself am I willing to own what I have committed to? The answer is yes. My Higher Self accepts that when the time is right, I will leave.
I pull four Tarot cards around the situation and they all come up reversed: The Chariot indicates that even though I have been up-ended, I am not ready to choose a direction; the Queen of Swords states that I lack clarity in my thought process and that I should not be making any decisions while in this state of mind; the 8 of pentacles reveals that because of the two cards that proceed it, my perception is that there is no pay off for all of the work I'm putting in; and finally the 8 of wands indicates that my current emotional state is misguided and that any potential opportunities will not be seen in the proper light. The repeating 8s suggest that my emotional state is overriding my decision-making capabilities at the moment and the absence of cups alludes to the fact that I am not taking the time to nurture myself. As I work through the process I hear guidance say, "This too shall pass" and I ask the Universe for patience.
Have you ever found yourself stuck in a story? Perhaps it's around a job that no longer serves you. Maybe it's a relationship that has run it's course. If so, how are you nurturing yourself and working through it? I'd love to know.
P. S. f you enjoyed this post, please feel free to share it.
"The true number of blackmail attempts, divorces, job losses, broken families, ruined lives, witch hunts, violent retributions, and suicides will not be known for years to come..." - The Ashley Madison Scandal via Business Week Journal
Have you ever found yourself in a situation where you are torn between telling the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth and keeping silent?
This month we found out that hackers revealed the names and credit card information of those who subscribed to Ashley Madison. This scandal has tested the morality waters in rather harsh and unexpected ways. It is reported that several people have committed suicide while others face losing employment and eminent divorce. In several cases, friends have found out that their best friend's spouse was a former subscriber. This unexpected reveal has suddenly thrown a few people into a moral dilemma: To tell or not to tell.
If you have found yourself in this or a similar predicament, here is a spread that measures the helpfulness factor of delivering such news. You may use any oracle method to divine the answers.
As a child, I was very connected to fashion -- the 60s in particular -- and I still am by the looks of my Pinterest account. In my teenage years, I discovered that I could predict fashion, music and business trends. When listening to a song, I would close my eyes and I'd just "know" when a song would go platinum. Remember the 80's neon fashion craze? While all of my friends laughed, I was wearing it. 2 years later they couldn't get enough of it. Unfortunately, most of what I "see" as trendy is too far for most minds to comprehend; however, that has never stopped me from wearing what I want, laughs or not. I've braved a lot in 55 years.
This morning's blog inspiration came from a pinned quote. When I saw the "sole" of this shoe, I saw the "soul" of this designer. His creations reminded me of a quote I read, "I'm aware that I'm rare and... I don't care."
So, who is this sole designer?
Having "felt "different" as a child, Christian Louboutin ran away from home at a very young age, finally sealing his destiny when he dropped out of formal education at the age of 12. (His background includes, amoung other things, landscape architect, backstage assistant and dresser.)
As a freelance shoe designer, Mr. Louboutin worked for the houses of Channel and Yves Saint Laurent before leaving the industry all together to become a landscape architect. After working as a Vogue contributor, he realized that he missed shoe design and set up his shop in 1991. Princess Caroline of Monaco was his 1st patron. In his first year of business he sold 200 pairs. By 2011, his shoes were the most looked-up shoe on the internet.
The story of Pantone 18-1663 TPX...
In the fashion world, the owning and wearing of a certain red-heeled shoe symbolizes the extreme in shoe status. Often found on the likes of Madonna and Jennifer Lopez, the "Lubby" heel as it is known, is only found in high-end retailer stores such as Neiman-Marcus and Bergdof Goodman.
His signature red heel has not gone un-noticed by other design houses. In fact, Pantone 18-1663 TPX, has caused quite a stir in the shoe industry. In a 'why didn't I think of that moment' other houses rushed out to copy the sole and in the end, Mr. L prevailed.
How does he keep it rare?
Interestingly enough, while other houses give shoes away, Mr. L does not. The best he will do is give a 10% discount... reserved ONLY for his best clients. He also does not over-hype or undervalue his brand. He has been asked numerous times to license other brands but always turns them down. His name, he prefers, to keep unlicensed. That my friend says it all... How you treat yourself is a reflection of how you allow the world treats you. He's a rare find in a world that usually revolves around money for fashion. With a society fixated on keeping within the norm, I find that being rare is a very good thing.
So, I ask you today, what is your "sole" signature? What makes you rare, stand out in a crowd and get noticed? I'd love to hear about your unique "sole" so please share in the comment box below!
*Whether they admit it or not, I believe that those involved in the fashion, hair and style industries are highly psychic. They are predominately right-brained, which also happens to be where psychic ability, creativity, feelings and emotion are stored.
Today I found myself struggling. My mind got caught up in the what if's. I usually find this mentality present, especially whenever I am about to make a major life change.
For the past 3 weeks, I have been asking the Universe to help me create a greater possibility around making a larger presence in my professional life. It's something that I have been dancing around the past few years but I never mustered up enough courage to make a stand. At the end of last year, I knew that the timing was right, so I decided made a contract with myself to show up in all ways and to create infinite possibilities to make this happen. Well, the Universe has not let me down. It brought in many opportunities to help me with my goal.
Now, you'd think that I would be excited. Well, I guess I still have a few skeletons in my closet that I still need to address about money, security, and safety because a lot of lessons (AKA opportunities) have appeared this week for me to work through. Damn it.
After I calmed down, I realized that I am right where I am supposed to be. What got me through today was a reminder from my guides to BE HERE NOW. The truth is...
- I don't need a thousand clients this week. I need to take time off and rest.
- My guides have NEVER let me down. They always bring me what I need not what I want.
- Everything is going as planned.
So, I thought I'd leave you with a wall quote with their words of wisdom. Print it out and put it somewhere you can see it... daily! And remind yourself to take a deep breaths, be present in THIS moment and know that everything as it should be.
"If you are busy focusing on the "what ifs" and the "what could be's" you're wasting years of your life walking away from your dreams instead of running toward your destiny...
Each day we were handed a gift from the Universe. 365 more days to make a difference in the lives of others. So I dare you to ask yourself, "How can I..."
- fire it up?
- make a bold statement?
- partner with those who share the same vision?
- find the courage to release what is keeping me back from attaining my goals?
- find others to serve?
In keeping with that spirit, let us...
- write down our dreams, personal and business goals and put together a plan to move into action
- make each other accountable
- take small steps together
- get focused on ONE thing that is our vision and drop those things that derails us
What's your vision? I'd love to hear more about it so feel free to comment below.

Of all the human emotions, F-E-A-R is probably the hardest for us to wrap our heads around. When we're in it, it runs deep: We protest, we make poor choices and in many cases, acquiesce to its demands. As if that weren't enough, our minds become filled with WIF-Bombs that derail us and send us into a tailspin tizzy...
