Merry Christmas... Tarot Reading for today! 12/25/2011
0 Comments

I have pulled three cards from *John Holland's Psychic Tarot deck to answer today's question, "What is important for us to know about our energy today so that we may move ourselves in a positive direction in these seemingly turbulent times?"

A usual, I am reading three cards from L to R in an intuitive fashion. As I look at each card, I notice what I am being pulled immediately to. Then I fashion a story intuitively with the cards. The results are always fascinating to me. Enjoy and Merry Christmas! -- Merry

1. Wisdom (5)
As I examine this card, the first thing that I am drawn to, is the book in the arm of the man. It is brilliant red and rays of yellow and orange sunlight are emanating from it. The man's robes are the color of rich purple signifying to me that he is of a Higher Source. Below him is a small, white dog that is looking up to see what he is holding in his hand. A look of wonder...

The man in the robe is looking to his right side at a couple and their young child who appear to be living in a small hut. They are looking at him wondering who he is, what is coming out of the book and what does it contain.

As I focus on the book, it also is monogramed with what appears to me to be an "F" on its cover. The message that comes to me is that we all have carry our own book of wisdom within us and we must have the "Faith" and courage to look inside if we are to live a truly rich life on our own terms.

2. Sacrifice (12)
The card depicts a girl, possibly from the Islands of Hawai'i. A rainbow appears from the heavens and beams its rays of different colored light into a hibiscus flower which appears on her right side. Since the left side is connected to the heart, one would wear a flower on the left-hand-side if in love or to signal to the world that she is taken. If worn on the right, it signifies that we are still available or not in love.

It feels as if this card is saying that many of us have sacrificed our true self in order to obtain material or worldly things. (Examples: We may be currently doing things that are not fulfilling or that we love such as working in the wrong job or taking part in an unhappy relationship for the sake of money or security.)

While it outwardly appears to the world that we are happy or fulfilled, the reality is that inside we are not doing what our heart desires.

This leads me to the third and final card...

3. Deception & Envy (7)

This card depicts a man pulling a mask from or over his eyes depending upon how you view it.

Today, I feel that the man is pulling the mask off and removing the deception and envy that material things have created. Once we unmask "ourselves" or "we are unmasked" by some event (Examples: Loss of a job, home, personal loss, etc.) we are then given an opportunity to "see" what brings us true happiness, and in the process, fulfill our Divine agreement in this lifetime.

In summary, one cannot be truly happy unless he/she can courageously open his own book and expose its wisdom. If one can do this, even if he has no supporters, he will ultimately fulfill his passion. Only then can we unmask our true, unlimited potential.

*The reason I use and love this deck is because there are no negative answers. Personally, I feel that this is a very spiritual deck and the answers always leaves us examining how we can turn what we perceived negative into a positive aspect.

Also, many thanks to those who have supported my work. I am so very grateful to you...

Lastly, I offer thanks to the Divine for allowing me to be  tool of his/her gracious love. I ask every day that I am able to continue helping others find the peace, joy and meaning in their life.

Weight loss, EFT, NLP and Hypnosis - Days 3 & 4 08/02/2011
0 Comments

Wel, I am still going strong. Mainly fruits, veggies, eggs, a little cheese. 3 pita chips again, steak for dinner. The urge to stress eat has not hit me and last night at work only 1 piece of chocolate candy and I savored it but did not want anymore.

I believe that the morning and evening weight loss tapes have helped me. EFT is keeping me on track when I stress out. So far, so good! I actually feel as if I have more NRG today.

The back is better but not 100%.

Weight Loss with Hypnosis, EFT and NLP - Day 3 07/31/2011
0 Comments

Today I felt great. Slept in due to starting work later in the day... Again, no urge for manufactured carbs upon waking.
All through the day I had no urge to eat processed carbs and when I did, I wasn't able to finish it. I had 2 pita chips, 3/4 of a piece of whole-wheat bread and 1/4th of a cookie. That's it! I didn't like the taste and was able to stop and leave. Really a miracle as the starch turning to sugar usually makes me crave even more. The sugary taste was still there but not the urge to continue eating more! To be continued...

MY BACK STORY, EFT and Hail Marys... I'm chalking this up to a miracle folks!
I did however; pull my back out right before leaving for work. That story is interesting in its own right. I remembered that just before it went out, my husband told me he had a dream about being at his own funeral. It was being held with a few guys and everyone but him had a wonderful obit. He told me it was a wakeup call about doing something with his life. My back told me something different. All of a sudden the thought of life without him became unbearable. All I could think of was how I was going to live without him, manage our house and life. Apparently just the thought of it "crippled" me as I let out a scream and almost fell over with pain. (I had just stooped down to put away a cooking pot in the kitchen.)

Luckily my husband acted quickly getting, telling me not to stop moving than dosing me with some Advil and having me lay down on an ice pack. As I lay down on the ice, I started to say the "Hail Mary" over and over again. I also used EFT to address the fear that was paralyzing my back muscles. I realized that I too that I dreamt of my funeral when I was near death and I didn't die. I then heard the words, "You are healed. Get up." I got up as I was instructed.

I am not going to tell you that my back was 100% normal but I was able to walk, stoop and climb stairs and work for 6.45 hours without any problem.

I am a believe I was gifted a miracle. I am a believer! Are you?

Weight Loss using EFT/NLP & Hypnosis... 07/30/2011
0 Comments

I have following San Diego hypnotist, Christian Wasinger for 3 years now. I have always been interested in hypnosis and I thought if ever I needed a session, he would be the man!

Last week I finally decided to do something about my cravings for carbs. It was getting seriously out of control. You might ask: Why not use EFT on myself to help get this under control? Well, in some instances when you are too close to a situation it may not be effective. It may be beneficial to seek outside help. At any rate, I am glad that I did and this blog reflects my journey to wellness surrounding food. I will be using EFT, NLP and hypnosis to help me make better lifestyle choices...
Day 1
Right after today's session, I felt the urge to drive immediately to the store and purchase cottage cheese, strawberries, apples, celery, carrots and meat for tomorrow’s dinner. When I got home, I thought about the crackers for a moment and then went on to eat celery, carrots, cottage cheese and strawberries.

We went to a dinner party and I found that I could ONLY focus on eating carrots and cheese although there were crackers on the plate as well. I couldn’t believe it as this was the 1st time in a long time I passed on bread items.

I ate fish – which I don’t really like – salad a bit of Thai noodles. Although I felt as if I ate too much, I was very proud of myself. No bread... hmmmm. Very strange for me not to even want a little piece

Listened to the evening hypnosis tape and fell asleep.

Day 2
I woke up after a peaceful night's sleep and listened to the morning tape. Upon rising, I drank 2 large glasses of water. I walked on the treadmill for 15 minutes since I have a bruise on my foot and can’t run. I used a bit of EFT on the treadmill and I really enjoyed exercising which I have not felt motivated to do in a long time!

I ate a small portion of Rice Crispies. Pouring and eating them seemed weird to me. Also had a strawberry, cottage cheese, one cup of coffee with sugar, cream -- my standard.

For the 1st time I can remember, I wanted to eat at the table while I ate breakfast. I *put my spoon "down" in between meals and really enjoyed the food. I did *not read during breakfast but concentrated on the meal and the texture and taste… it was such a strange feeling but it felt right for me to do. (*This was all suggested under hypnosis but I only realized it when I started to act out this behavior.)

Going out to create a new necklace right now. I have a new line of jewelry in mind and I have not been motivated to create it. If feels good to have some control over what I am doing.

Off to the studio...

Tapping 365: Day 54, 2-23-11 "EFT and ACOA (Adult Children of Alcoholics) ... How to use Tapping to find Emotional Freedom" 02/23/2011
0 Comments

“Growing up” in the shadow of alcoholics was never complete. While I grew up physically, I learned that did not grow up emotionally and to this day, there are times where I still find myself asking, “What is it like to be normal?” In our house, abnormal was normal. It was violent, raw and rage was always bubbling just below the surface. I learned to be hyper-vigilent every waking and non-waking moment of my day. I learned and quickly adopted new ways of thinking, feeling, and acting. I learned to react not act. It was twice as hard for me sometimes because psychically I knew what was coming or knew "something" wasn't right. Nowadays when shaken and stirred, I still might respond with gut reactions gleaned from survival lessons learned as a child.

In my struggle to find some normalcy, I found some research I'd like to share with you. When I  first read it many years ago, a wave of relief came over me: I was not alone. I thanked God for the information that unlooked so many doors for me... answered so many questions for me. I also thank God later in life for Melody Beattie. She wrote the book, "Co-dependant No More." For me the book was a revelation and it offered me relief.

In 1983, Dr. Janet Woititz, developed a list of 13 common traits of Adult Children of Alcoholics (more commonly known by the acronym ACOA.) While these traits are general whereby some may apply and others may not, you may recognize some of them:

Adult Children of Alcoholics…

•                 guess at what normal is.

•                 have difficulty in following a project through from beginning to end.

•                 lie when it would be just as easy to tell the truth.

•                 judge themselves without mercy.

•
have difficulty having fun.

•                 take themselves very seriously.

•                 have difficulty with intimate relationships.

•                 overreact to changes over which they have no control.

•                 constantly seek approval and affirmation.

•                 feel that they are different from other people.

•                 are either super responsible or super irresponsible.

•                 are extremely loyal, even in the face of evidence that loyalty is undeserved.

•                 tend to lock themselves into a course of action without giving serious consideration to alternative behaviors or possible consequences. This impulsivity leads to confusion, self- loathing, and loss of control of their environment. As a result, they spend tremendous amounts of time cleaning up the mess.

Still there are other characteristics you might identify with. In 1978, Tony A., published what he called “The List.”  It is comprised of traits commonly exhibited by ACOA. According to Tony A's list, many adult children of alcoholics can:

•                 Become isolated

•                 Fear people and authority figures

•                 Become approval seekers

•                 Be frightened of angry people

•                 Be terrified of personal criticism

•                 Become alcoholics, marry them or both

•                 View life as a victim

•                 Have an overwhelming sense of responsibility

•                 Be concerned more with others than themselves

•                 Feel guilty when they stand up for themselves

•                 Become addicted to excitement

•                 Confuse love and pity

•                 'Love' people who need rescuing

•                 Stuff their feelings

•                 Lose the ability to feel

•                 Have low self-esteem

•                 Judge themselves harshly

•                 Become terrified of abandonment

•                 Do anything to hold on to a relationship

•                 Become "para-alcoholics" without drinking

•                 Become reactors instead of actors

As a child of 2 adult alcoholics, I invite you look at a technique that was developed almost 2 decades ago. It was designed by Gary Craig and Adrienne Fowlie to help humanity find emotional freedom and it is called Emotional Freedom Techniques or Tapping. I have been personally using this effect and easy-t0-use tapping technique for the past year and, so far, the results has been surprisingly effective.

With each event that I address, I find that not only does it bring me to a place of understanding and forgiveness but I have developed a deeper sense of compassion, not only for myself but for my parents and siblings, as well. It has helped me to address my incapacity to love, childhood fears and issues of control amoung other things, and I am left with an unending spiritual peace... emotional freedom if you will.

The beauty of EFT is that it is not an either or therapy modality. It can be and is currently combined with various therapy modalities as well as allopath medicine.  As I continue my journey to wellness I continue to share with other ACOC’s what has worked well for me.  I hope that you will consider EFT as an effective tool in finding your personal emotional freedom.

To your inner beauty... may you discover it is there. Blessings, Merry

There's a New Guru in the House... 01/29/2011

I cannot stress this enough…  You do NOT need anything or anyone outside of you to make you feel better, be better or to help you live a better lifestyle.

When you receive a blessing from a Guru, know that you will receive Divine Intelligence – a blessing that will do what is needed and it will know where it should go to help you in the best way possible – in other words, for your best and highest good. That being said, a blessing does not mean that you board a life raft to cling to for the rest of your mortal life. WE should never give our power away to anyone – even if the title Guru is attached to his/her name.

Remember… Gurus are human… they have human faults and needs just like the rest of us. While they may possess a higher Divine Consciousness some of them are driven by ego. Power plus ego can be a dangerous combination…

Lastly, I know it’s hard to remain objective… It’s hard to when things are shifting for you and putting you in a better place.  It’s hard not to get attached to someone when we are in total awe of their “gifts.” Use caution here… If you find yourself absolutely needing a continual blessing even at the cost of your life savings or even worse creating credit card debt, please stop and step outside the picture. There you will find objectivity and regain your common sense and perspective.

How do I know? I just stepped outside and the view is much clearer…

Blessings for a new day, Merry

Tapping 365: Day 11- 1/11/11 01/11/2011

Today is a day of manifestation. The powerful “antennas” of number 11 pull what you want toward you so all that you need to do is take action. The real question is, are you ready to do the inner work necessary to pull it off? If so, let’s get started!

First, you need to make a list of events of that are causing you emotional distress. The further you can think back the better. Now, write them all down. If you don’t have a particular emotion around an event, guess. Usually your subconscious will help you come up with the answer. As you tap, you will most likely start to bring up other events.

Next, you need the means to clean the inner gunk out! Enter EFT. Why? Because EFT addresses drivers such as stress and sabotage that cause your energy to become blocked. Once these are addressed, you in turn receive Emotional Freedom! Think of it as an emotional roter-roter, that when used, can provide great results!

Now, onto Tapping. Start by making up a set-up statement that includes a negative and positive statement surrounding an event. Be specific not global. You will get greater relief if you hone in on one event. Using your set-up statement, start at the KC and tap there three times. After you are finished, start at the EB and go all the way around stopping on top of the head.

Next, go back to the event. Do you notice a shift of emotional charge around the situation as you think about it? Has the charge decreased or increased. If the emotional charge is not down to zero, tap again on the KC using the statement, “Even though I still have some of this ______ emotion, I deeply and completely accept myself.” Starting at the EB and ending up on the head, do another full round of Tapping. At the end, take a cleansing breath and grab a bit of water. Again, take an emotional assessment of the charge. If it is down to zero you are done and can move onto a new event. If not, keep Tapping until you get to zero!

Here’s to a new start… Keep Tapping and blessings for a beautiful day! Merry
