Dear Fellow Empaths,
As we stand on the threshold of a new year, I want to take a moment to wish you all a Happy New Year. May this new year be filled with love, joy, and abundance for you and your loved ones.

I believe that each new year is a chance for us to start fresh, to let go of the past and embrace the present. It's a time to set new goals, to make new plans, and to open ourselves up to new possibilities. And as empaths, I believe that this new year is a chance for us to use our unique gifts for a higher purpose.

Our empathic abilities allow us to connect with others on a deep level and to offer comfort, support, and understanding when it is needed most. They also allow us to sense when something is not right and to use our voices and actions to bring about positive change in the world. As we move forward into this new year, let us commit to using our gifts to make a positive impact on the lives of those around us.

But more than anything, I hope that this new year brings each and every one of us a deeper sense of connection to something greater than ourselves. Whether it's a higher power, the universe, or simply the beauty and wonder of life itself, may we all find something that fills our hearts with hope and inspiration.

So as we move forward into this new year, let us do so with open hearts and open minds. Let us embrace the challenges that come our way with courage and grace, and let us find joy in the small things that make life worth living.

Wishing you all a Happy New Year, filled with love, growth, and abundance. May you use your empathic gifts for good and make a positive impact on the world.

With love and gratitude,
Merry

Raising an empath child can be a rewarding but also challenging experience. Empaths are highly sensitive individuals who have the ability to deeply feel and understand the emotions of others. This can be a gift, but it can also lead to emotional overwhelm and difficulties in setting boundaries. As a parent, it is important to help your empath child develop their skills and learn to manage their sensitivity in a healthy way.

Here are some steps you can take to raise an empath child with kindness, compassion, and care:
  1. Educate yourself about empathy and what it means to be an empath. Understanding the characteristics and challenges of being an empath can help you better support your child.
  2. Validate your child's emotions. It is important to acknowledge and validate your child's feelings, even if you don't fully understand them. This helps your child feel heard and supported.
  3. Encourage open communication. Encourage your child to express their feelings and listen actively to what they have to say. This can help your child feel more comfortable sharing their emotions with you.
  4. Help your child set boundaries. Empaths can have difficulty setting boundaries with others, especially when it comes to emotions. Help your child understand that it is okay to say no and to prioritize their own well-being.
  5. Teach your child coping strategies. Empaths can benefit from learning coping strategies to manage their emotions, such as deep breathing, visualization, and journaling.
  6. Model empathy and emotional intelligence. As a parent, it is important to model empathy and emotional intelligence for your child. This can include listening to others, showing compassion, and being aware of your own emotions.
  7. Encourage your child to engage in activities that nourish their senses. Empaths can be easily overwhelmed by sensory stimuli, so it is important to encourage activities that nourish their senses, such as nature walks, art, and music.
  8. Help your child find their support system. Encourage your child to seek support from trusted friends, family members, or a therapist if needed.

By following these steps, you can help your empath child develop their sensitivity and emotional intelligence in a healthy and supportive way. With kindness, compassion, and care, you can help your child thrive and navigate the challenges of being an empath.

"The Devastating Effects of Withholding Love from an Empath Child and How to Heal and Nurture Yourself as an Adult Empath" by Merry Street

Withholding love from an empath child can have significant and long-lasting effects on their emotional and mental well-being. Empaths are highly sensitive individuals who are deeply attuned to the emotions and energies of those around them. They are deeply affected by the emotional environment they are in, and withholding love can have devastating consequences.

Here are the steps to understand the effects of withholding love from an empath child, and what an empath can do to nurture and help themselves as an adult:
  1. Empaths are highly sensitive to their environment: Empaths have a heightened ability to feel and sense the emotions and energies of others. This means that they are deeply affected by the emotional environment they are in. When an empath child is surrounded by love and positivity, they feel nourished and supported. But when they are in an environment where love is withheld, they feel unsupported and disconnected.
  2. Withholding love can lead to emotional and mental health issues: When an empath child does not receive the love and support they need, they may struggle with low self-esteem, anxiety, and depression. These mental health issues can have a significant impact on their ability to develop and thrive.
  3. It can affect their relationships: Empaths often struggle with boundaries and can become overwhelmed by the emotions of others. When they do not receive love and support at home, they may have difficulty forming healthy relationships with others. This can lead to feelings of loneliness and isolation.
  4. It can impact their ability to self-regulate: Empaths have a sensitive nervous system, which can make it difficult for them to self-regulate their emotions. Without the support of loving adults, they may struggle to cope with their emotions and may engage in unhealthy coping mechanisms to manage their feelings.

As an adult empath who may have experienced withholding love as a child, it's important to take steps to nurture and support yourself. Here are some ways to do that:
  1. Seek therapy or other forms of support: If you are struggling with the effects of withholding love, it's essential to seek help to address the underlying issues and heal from the past. This may include therapy, support groups, or other forms of support.
  2. Practice self-care: Make sure to take care of your physical and emotional needs by engaging in regular self-care practices. This can include activities like exercise, meditation, and spending time in nature.
  3. Set boundaries: It's important for empaths to set boundaries to protect their energy and prevent them from becoming overwhelmed. This can include setting limits on the amount of time spent with certain people, establishing physical boundaries, and setting boundaries around certain topics or discussions.
  4. Foster healthy relationships: Surround yourself with people who support and respect you. This can include seeking out supportive friends and loved ones, and setting boundaries with those who are not supportive.

In conclusion, withholding love from an empath child can have significant and long-lasting effects on their emotional and mental well-being. If you are an adult empath who has experienced this, it's important to seek therapy or other forms of support to heal and move forward. Engage in regular self-care, set boundaries to protect your energy

Picture
Empaths are individuals who have the ability to feel and understand the emotions and experiences of others on a deep level. This unique ability can be a great strength in the workplace, as empaths are often able to connect with colleagues and clients in a way that fosters trust, understanding, and collaboration. However, being an empath can also be challenging in a professional setting, as they may struggle with taking on too much emotional energy from others or finding it difficult to set boundaries. If you are an empath in the workplace, you may be facing some of the following challenges:

  • Absorbing the emotions of others: One of the key challenges that empaths may face in the workplace is the tendency to absorb the emotions of those around them. This can be especially difficult in a high-stress work environment, where emotions may be running high. Empaths may find it hard to distinguish their own emotions from those of others, leading to feelings of overwhelm and exhaustion.
  • Setting boundaries: Another challenge that empaths may face is the difficulty of setting boundaries. Empaths may feel a strong desire to help others and may struggle with saying no or setting limits on their emotional energy. To prevent burnout and resentment empaths can set boundaries by saying no when they need to, setting limits on the amount of time they spend with certain individuals, or finding ways to distance themselves from emotionally charged situations.
  • Managing emotional overload: Empaths may also struggle with managing their emotional well-being in a professional setting. The constant influx of emotions from others can be overwhelming, leading to feelings of fatigue and emotional exhaustion.

If you are an empath in the workplace and are facing these or other challenges, here are some steps you can take to manage your emotional well-being and navigate these challenges:

  1. Practice self-care: One of the most important things you can do to support your emotional well-being is to prioritize self-care. This may involve taking breaks, setting limits on the amount of work you take on, and finding ways to de-stress during the workday.
  2. Set boundaries: It's important to set boundaries to protect your emotional and physical health. This may involve saying no when you need to, setting limits on the amount of time you spend with certain individuals, or finding ways to distance yourself from emotionally charged situations.
  3. Seek support: Consider seeking support from a therapist, coach or joining a support group to help you better understand your emotions and needs, and to provide you with tools to manage your emotional well-being.
  4. Communicate openly: Open and honest communication can be key to managing your emotional well-being in the workplace. Share your needs and feelings with your colleagues and manager, and be open to feedback.
  5. Educate others: Educate your colleagues about empathy and the unique challenges that empaths may face in the workplace. This can help create a more supportive and understanding environment.

By taking these steps, you can better manage your emotional well-being and navigate the challenges of being an empath in the workplace. Remember, it's important to take care of yourself and to set boundaries to protect your emotional and physical health.

"Exploring the Empath: Understanding the Unique Experience of Highly Sensitive Person" by Merry Street

12/20/2022

Picture
An empath is a person who is highly sensitive to the emotional and energetic states of others. They have the ability to deeply and intuitively understand the feelings and experiences of others, often without the need for words or explanations.

While the term "empath" is not a clinical term and is not recognized in the field of psychology, it is often used to describe people who have a high level of empathy and who are affected by the emotions and energies of those around them. Empaths are often described as being "emotionally sensitive," "emotionally intelligent," or "emotionally attuned."

The experience of being an empath can be both a blessing and a curse. On the one hand, empaths are often deeply compassionate and understanding, and they have the ability to offer comfort and support to others in a way that is unique and powerful. On the other hand, the constant influx of emotional energy can be overwhelming and draining, and empaths may struggle to maintain their own emotional balance and well-being.

Here is a closer look at some of the unique experiences of empaths:
  1. Empaths are highly sensitive to emotions.
Empaths are often described as "emotionally sensitive" because they are able to pick up on and feel the emotions of others very deeply. This can be both a blessing and a curse, as empaths may feel the full range of emotions – both positive and negative – very intensely.
  2. Empaths are affected by the energies of others.
Empaths are not only sensitive to the emotions of others, but they are also affected by the energies of those around them. This means that they may feel the effects of another person's stress or anxiety, even if the person is not directly expressing these emotions.
  3. Empaths may struggle with boundaries.
Empaths may struggle with setting and maintaining boundaries, both with others and with themselves. This can lead to feelings of being overwhelmed or drained, as empaths may have difficulty saying "no" or setting limits on their own emotional and physical energy.
  4. Empaths may have a strong intuitive connection with others.
Empaths often have a strong intuitive connection with others, which allows them to deeply understand and connect with people on a deeper level. This can be a powerful tool for building relationships and providing support to others, but it can also make it difficult for empaths to disconnect or "turn off" their empathic abilities.
  5. Empaths may struggle with their own emotions.
Because empaths are so attuned to the emotions of others, they may struggle with managing their own emotions. This can lead to feelings of being overwhelmed or "emotionally exhausted," as empaths may have difficulty distinguishing between their own emotions and the emotions of those around them.
  6. Empaths may have a strong sense of justice.
Empaths often have a strong sense of justice and fairness, and they may feel a deep sense of outrage or anger when they witness injustice or suffering. This can be a powerful motivator for empaths to become involved in social or political causes, or to work in fields that allow them to make a positive impact on the world.
  7. Empaths may have difficulty in large groups or crowds.
Empaths may have difficulty in large groups or crowds, as they may be overwhelmed by the collective emotional energy of those around them. This can lead to feelings of anxiety or discomfort, and empaths may prefer to spend time in smaller, more intimate settings.

Empaths are a unique and special group and are a powerful force for good in the world. However, it's important for empaths to take care of their own emotional well-being and to set healthy boundaries in order to avoid feeling overwhelmed or drained by the emotions of others.

There are several strategies that empaths can use to manage their empathic abilities and protect their own emotional well-being:
  1. Practice self-care: Taking care of yourself is crucial for managing your emotions, including anger. This might include getting enough sleep, eating a healthy diet, and finding time to relax and unwind.
  2. Set boundaries: It's important for empaths to set healthy boundaries with others and to communicate their needs and limits clearly. This can help to prevent feelings of being overwhelmed or drained by the emotions of others.
  3. Practice mindfulness: Mindfulness involves bringing your attention to the present moment and accepting your thoughts and feelings without judgment. This can help you to better understand and manage your emotions, including anger.
  4. Seek social support: Sometimes, talking to a trusted friend or loved one can provide the perspective and understanding we need to manage our anger.
  5. Seek professional help: If you find that you're struggling to manage your anger on your own, it may be helpful to seek the guidance of a mental health professional. They can provide you with the tools and strategies you need to better manage your emotions.

By taking these steps, empaths can better manage their empathic abilities and protect their own emotional well-being.

"Exploring the Heart of Emotional Empathy: Understanding the Role of the Heart Chakra in Receiving and Processing Others' Emotional Data as an Empath" - by Merry Street

12/19/2022

Picture
Empathy is the ability to understand and share the feelings of another person. It is a complex emotional and cognitive process that allows us to connect with others and feel compassion for their experiences. Emotional empathy, in particular, is the ability to feel and respond to the emotions of others, as if they were our own. It is a crucial part of being human and is essential for building meaningful relationships and creating a sense of community.

But what does it mean to receive and process other people's emotional data through the heart chakra as an empath? In this article, we will delve into the concept of emotional empathy and explore the role of the heart chakra in receiving and processing others' emotions. We will also discuss the potential challenges and benefits of being an empath and offer some practical tips for managing and channeling this ability.

What is Emotional Empathy?
Emotional empathy is the ability to feel what another person is feeling, as if their emotions were our own. It is a form of emotional intelligence that allows us to understand and respond to the emotional states of others, which can be helpful in building strong relationships and fostering a sense of community.

Emotional empathy involves both cognitive and emotional processing. On the cognitive level, it requires the ability to recognize and understand the emotional expressions and behaviors of others. On the emotional level, it involves feeling and responding to others' emotions in a way that is congruent with their feelings.

For example, if someone is feeling sad, an empathetic person may feel a sense of sadness themselves and be motivated to offer comfort and support. On the other hand, if someone is feeling happy, an empathetic person may feel a sense of joy and be motivated to share in the celebration.

Emotional empathy is different from cognitive empathy, which is the ability to understand and perspective-take on the thoughts and feelings of others without necessarily feeling those emotions oneself. Both forms of empathy are important for building relationships and understanding others, but emotional empathy involves a deeper emotional connection and response.

The Role of the Heart Chakra in Emotional Empathy
In many spiritual and philosophical traditions, the heart chakra is seen as the center of love, compassion, and emotional connection. Located in the center of the chest, the heart chakra is thought to be the hub of our emotional and spiritual life, influencing our ability to feel and express love, compassion, and empathy.

For empaths, the heart chakra may play a particularly important role in the process of receiving and processing others' emotional data. Some believe that the heart chakra acts as a gateway for empaths to receive and process the emotions of others, allowing them to feel and respond to the emotional states of others in a more intuitive and compassionate way.

However, it is important to note that the heart chakra is just one aspect of emotional empathy and that this ability is a complex process that involves both cognitive and emotional processing. While the heart chakra may play a role in facilitating emotional empathy, it is not the sole determinant of this ability.

Challenges and Benefits of Being an Empath
Being an empath can come with both challenges and benefits. On the one hand, being highly attuned to the emotions of others can be a great asset, allowing empaths to build strong relationships, offer support and comfort, and create a sense of community. Empaths may also be more sensitive to the needs of others and be more motivated to help and serve others.

On the other hand, being an empath can also come with challenges. Empaths may feel overwhelmed by the constant influx of emotional information and may struggle with setting boundaries and taking care of their own emotional well-being

On the other hand, being an empath can also come with challenges. Empaths may feel overwhelmed by the constant influx of emotional information and may struggle with setting boundaries and taking care of their own emotional well-being. They may also feel drained by constantly being exposed to the emotions of others and may struggle with maintaining their own emotional balance.

It is important for empaths to be mindful of their own emotional well-being and to set boundaries to protect themselves from becoming overwhelmed. This may involve setting limits on the amount of time spent with others, learning to say no, and finding ways to recharge and nurture their own emotional well-being.

Practical Tips for Managing and Channeling Emotional Empathy
If you are an empath, here are some practical tips for managing and channeling your ability to feel and respond to the emotions of others:
  1. Set boundaries: It is important for empaths to set boundaries to protect their own emotional well-being. This may involve setting limits on the amount of time spent with others, learning to say no, and finding ways to recharge and nurture their own emotional well-being.
  2. Practice self-care: Empaths need to prioritize their own emotional well-being and practice self-care to maintain their emotional balance. This may involve activities such as mindfulness meditation, exercise, getting enough sleep, and finding ways to relax and recharge.
  3. Learn to distinguish between your own emotions and those of others: It is important for empaths to be able to distinguish between their own emotions and the emotions of others. This can help prevent empaths from becoming overwhelmed by the constant influx of emotional information and allow them to focus on their own emotional well-being.
  4. Use visualization and grounding techniques: Visualization and grounding techniques can be helpful for empaths to manage their emotional responses and maintain emotional balance. This may involve visualizing a protective shield or grounding oneself by focusing on the present moment and the physical sensations in the body.
  5. Seek support: Empaths may benefit from seeking support from others, whether through therapy, support groups, or trusted friends and loved ones. It can be helpful to have a safe space to share and process emotions and to receive support and guidance.

Conclusion:
Emotional empathy is a complex emotional and cognitive process that allows us to understand and share the feelings of another person. The heart chakra is thought to play a role in facilitating emotional empathy, allowing empaths to feel and respond to the emotions of others in a more intuitive and compassionate way.

Being an empath can come with both challenges and benefits, and it is important for empaths to be mindful of their own emotional well-being and to set boundaries to protect themselves from becoming overwhelmed.

By using visualization and grounding techniques, seeking support, and practicing self-care, empaths can learn to manage and channel their ability to feel and respond to the emotions of others in a healthy and balanced way.

"Overcoming Emotional Toxicity: 8 Steps to Improve Your Mental Health and Relationships"- by Merry Street

12/19/2022

Picture
Emotional toxicity refers to the negative emotions and behaviors that can poison and damage relationships, mental health, and overall well-being. It can take many forms, including verbal abuse, manipulation, and neglect, and it can have serious consequences on both the individual experiencing it and those around them.

There are several steps you can take to overcome emotional toxicity and improve your emotional well-being. These steps include:
  1. Identify the source of the toxicity. In order to overcome emotional toxicity, you must first identify the source of the negative emotions. This may be a person, a situation, or even your own thoughts and behaviors. Understanding the root cause of the toxicity can help you develop strategies to address it.
  2. Set boundaries. Setting boundaries is an important step in protecting yourself from emotional toxicity. This means learning to say no to situations and people that are harmful to your well-being, and setting limits on how much time and energy you are willing to devote to these relationships.
  3. Seek support. Emotional toxicity can be difficult to cope with on your own. Seeking support from trusted friends, family, or a mental health professional can provide you with the guidance and encouragement you need to work through the challenges you are facing.
  4. Practice self-care. Taking care of yourself is essential for managing negative emotions and building resilience. This includes getting enough sleep, eating a healthy diet, exercising regularly, and finding activities that bring you joy and relaxation.
  5. Learn to communicate effectively. Communication is key to building healthy relationships and resolving conflicts. This includes learning to express your feelings and needs in a clear and respectful way, as well as actively listening to the perspective of others.
  6. Seek out healthy relationships. Surrounding yourself with positive, supportive people can help counteract the effects of emotional toxicity. Look for relationships that are built on mutual respect and understanding, and seek out activities and hobbies that allow you to connect with like-minded individuals.
  7. Practice mindfulness. Mindfulness is the practice of bringing your attention to the present moment, without judgment. It can help you gain perspective on your thoughts and emotions, and can provide a sense of calm and clarity in the face of negative experiences.
  8. Seek professional help. If you are struggling to cope with emotional toxicity on your own, or if the toxicity is coming from a significant other or family member, seeking the help of a mental health professional can be beneficial. A therapist or counselor can provide you with the tools and support you need to work through the challenges you are facing and build a healthier, more positive future.

Emotional toxicity can be a challenging and overwhelming experience, but with time, patience, and the right strategies, it is possible to overcome it and build a healthier, more positive life. Remember to take care of yourself, seek out supportive relationships, and seek professional help if needed. With the right tools and support, you can learn to manage negative emotions and create a more fulfilling and rewarding life.

"5 Non-Negotiable Boundaries Empaths Need to Thrive" - by Merry Street

12/19/2022

Picture
As an empath, it is essential to set and maintain healthy boundaries in order to protect your energy, emotions, and overall well-being. Boundaries are the limits we set for ourselves and others in terms of how we want to be treated, what we are and are not willing to accept, and the actions and behaviors we will and will not tolerate.

Unfortunately, empaths often struggle with setting and maintaining boundaries because they tend to be highly sensitive and empathetic individuals who often put others' needs before their own. However, it is important to remember that setting and maintaining boundaries is not about being selfish or uncaring, but rather about taking care of yourself so that you can be a better support and resource for others. Here are five non-negotiable boundaries that every empath needs in order to thrive:

Boundaries around personal space and time
  1. As an empath, it is important to set boundaries around your personal space and time. This includes setting limits on how much time you spend with others, how much personal information you share with others, and how much physical contact you are comfortable with.
It is also important to set boundaries around your personal space, such as your home, bedroom, and any other areas that you consider sacred or private. This means communicating to others that these spaces are off-limits unless specifically invited in.

Boundaries around emotional and mental energy
  1. Empaths are highly sensitive and can easily become overwhelmed by the emotions and energy of others. It is important to set boundaries around how much emotional and mental energy you are willing to give to others and when you need to take a break or step back.
This can include setting limits on how much time you spend with highly emotional or draining individuals, setting boundaries around how much emotional support you are willing to give, and taking time for self-care and rest when needed.

Boundaries around communication
  1. Effective communication is an important aspect of any healthy relationship, and this is especially true for empaths. It is important to set boundaries around how you communicate with others, including setting limits on how much personal information you share and being clear and direct about your needs and boundaries.
It is also important to set boundaries around how others communicate with you, including setting limits on how much criticism or negativity you are willing to tolerate and setting boundaries around how you want to be treated and spoken to.

Boundaries around physical and mental health
  1. Empaths are often so focused on taking care of others that they neglect their own physical and mental health. It is important to set boundaries around your physical and mental health by prioritizing self-care, seeking medical treatment when needed, and setting limits on how much you are willing to push yourself physically and mentally.
This can include setting boundaries around your physical and mental health needs, such as taking breaks when necessary, setting limits on how much work or other responsibilities you are willing to take on, and making time for rest and relaxation.

Boundaries around relationships
  1. Empaths often struggle with setting boundaries in their relationships because they tend to be highly empathetic and caring individuals. However, it is important to set boundaries in your relationships in order to protect your energy, emotions, and overall well-being.
This can include setting limits on how much time and energy you invest in a relationship, setting boundaries around what behaviors and actions you are willing to tolerate, and being clear about your needs and boundaries in the relationship.

Overall, setting and maintaining boundaries is an essential part of being an empath and taking care of yourself. Developing the ability to communicate with and understand the needs and emotions of animals, as well as to sense and interpret the energies of the natural world, is a skill that has been sought after by many individuals throughout history. While it may seem like a daunting task at first, there are a few key steps that can be taken to hone this skill and improve your connection with the animal kingdom and the natural world.

First and foremost, it is important to establish a sense of calm and presence in oneself. Animals and the natural world can sense our emotions and energy, and if we are agitated or anxious, it can create barriers to effective communication. By practicing mindfulness and finding ways to calm and ground ourselves, we can create a more open and receptive space for communication. This may involve practices such as meditation, deep breathing, or spending time in nature.

Another key aspect of developing this skill is to cultivate an open and curious mindset. It is important to approach animals and the natural world with a sense of respect and humility, rather than trying to impose our own beliefs and expectations on them. By being open to the possibility of learning and understanding their perspective, we can create a more authentic and meaningful connection.

In order to better understand and communicate with animals, it is also helpful to learn about their behaviors and body language. Different species have their own unique ways of communicating, and by paying attention to the subtle cues they give off, we can begin to understand what they are trying to convey. For example, a wagging tail in a dog may indicate happiness, while a stiff tail may indicate aggression. By learning these types of cues, we can better understand and respond to the needs and emotions of animals.

One way to improve our ability to sense and interpret the energies of the natural world is through the practice of energy work or energy healing. This can involve techniques such as chakra balancing, aura cleansing, or working with crystals and other energy tools. These practices can help to balance and align our own energy, as well as connect us more deeply with the energies of the natural world.

Another way to enhance our connection with the natural world is through the practice of nature mindfulness or nature meditation. This involves taking time to slow down and tune in to the sights, sounds, and sensations of nature around us. By cultivating this type of mindful awareness, we can develop a deeper appreciation and understanding of the natural world, and become more attuned to the energies and rhythms of the earth.

In addition to these practices, it can also be helpful to seek guidance and support from others who have developed these skills. This may include working with animal communicators, energy healers, or other individuals who have experience in these areas. They can offer valuable insights and guidance as we work to develop our own abilities.

Overall, developing the ability to communicate with and understand the needs and emotions of animals, as well as to sense and interpret the energies of the natural world, is a journey that requires time, patience, and a willingness to learn and grow. By cultivating mindfulness, an open and curious mindset, and a connection with the natural world, we can begin to develop these skills and deepen our understanding of the animal.

How Practicing Mindfulness and Presence Can Help an Empath Develop Their Psychic Abilities - by Merry Street

Mindfulness and presence are important practices for all individuals, but they are particularly valuable for empaths, who are highly sensitive to the emotions and energies of others. By cultivating mindfulness and presence, empaths can better understand and manage their own emotions, as well as develop their psychic abilities.

Empaths are individuals who are able to sense and absorb the emotions and energies of others, often without even realizing it. This can be both a blessing and a curse, as it can allow empaths to deeply connect with others and be more attuned to their needs, but it can also leave them feeling drained and overwhelmed by the constant influx of emotions.

Mindfulness is the practice of bringing one's attention to the present moment, without judgment. This involves being aware of one's thoughts, feelings, and sensations, as well as the surroundings and external stimuli. By cultivating mindfulness, empaths can become more aware of their own emotions and how they are being affected by the emotions of others. This can help them better manage their own emotions and avoid becoming overwhelmed.

Presence is the practice of being fully present in the moment, without being distracted by the past or worrying about the future. By cultivating presence, empaths can better focus on their own thoughts and emotions, rather than getting caught up in the emotions of others. This can help them develop their psychic abilities, as they will be better able to tune into their own intuition and inner wisdom.

There are many different ways to practice mindfulness and presence, including meditation, yoga, and journaling. Empaths can also try incorporating mindful breathing into their daily routine, as this can help them bring their attention to the present moment and calm their minds.

In addition to practicing mindfulness and presence, empaths can also benefit from setting boundaries and learning how to protect their energy. This might involve setting limits on how much time they spend with certain people or in certain situations, and learning how to say no when they need to.

By cultivating mindfulness, presence, and healthy boundaries, empaths can better understand and manage their own emotions and develop their psychic abilities. These practices can help them navigate their sensitive nature and use their abilities for the greater good, rather than feeling overwhelmed and drained.

What Clients Are Saying...
Merry is one of those people you don't think you need but need. The type of person who knows nothing about you but knows EVERYTHING about you. Having Merry over was one of the most unique situations I've ever experienced. The whys to what led her here and why we've referred her to three friends now (they've all been shocked) but that's another story. Right now, I want to focus on Merry... This isn't the stuff you see on TV (not to say they don't have a gift), there's no denying what she does and that it's real. She knew absolutely nothing in any of the times she was called and every time absolutely nailed what was taking place. Merry is the real deal. She'll pick up on the things about yourself or situation no one knows -- the deep stuff you think you can bury and not address -- that's the stuff that she feels and brings to light. Literally, an absolute stranger with no details of your life but one who knows every detail about your true deep identity. She's got such a way she delivers things where they're so straight forward but also warm and inviting and it's not creepy at all. The spiritual world is insane and she's 100% connected with it. If you're reading this it's because something led you here and I promise you she's worth the call. She's always going to have such a sentimental place in my family's life." Said | San Diego, California
